Classes I'm taking
Winter 2006
BME C203
This is a continuation of the BME C202 class from last
quarter.
BME 299
Seminar course. Guest lectures by visiting scholars and
faculty candidates.
COMM 119
Communication Studies on Voice Perception. This is a fun
class to take. We are learning about how acoustical properties
of voice signals influence speech perception and how they are
manipulated in the media and by various speakers to get a
desired response from the listeners.
Fall 2005 BME C201.
Excerpt from the class syllabus:
This 4-unit graduate-level course will provide students with the
basic tools for the analysis of problems involving transport,
binding, reaction, trafficking, pharmacokinetics, and fluid
mechanics in systems of interest to the bioengineer. This
course is focused on providing depth in a few areas versus a
general overview of subject matter. This course will also be
very challenging, since it is one of the three core courses in
the Biomedical Engineering Interdepartmental Program (BME IDP).
BME CM202.
Course
description:
Lecture, three hours; laboratory, two hours. Preparation: human
molecular biology, biochemistry, and cell biology. Not open for
credit to Physiological Science majors. Broad overview of basic
biological activities and organization of human body in system
(organ/tissue) to system basis, with particular emphasis on
molecular basis. Modeling/simulation of functional aspect of
biological system included. Actual demonstration of biomedical
instruments, as well as visits to biomedical facilities.
BME 298.

in biomedical engineering taught by resident and visiting
faculty members. |
